Can we meet the sitter before we book her?

We interview and qualify all sitters before they are allowed to work for us. If you would like to meet them, we suggest that you ask her to come a little early, or on an earlier date, where you will have the opportunity to observe her with your children.

May we stay out as late as we wish?

You must check with your sitter if you will be more than 30 minutes late. If you are more than 30 minutes late and do not call the rate goes to time and a half.

May I request a specific sitter?

Absolutely! Special requests for sitters should be placed early to ensure your sitter's availability.

Will your sitters take our children in the ocean?

No, Shore Sitters, LLC is not insured in this area.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your reservation at anytime for any reason, you forfeit your deposit for the day you cancel.

What if I have to cancel at the last minute?

If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours prior to the job, you will be charged for the full 4 hours.

Do you sit for special needs children?

No, Shore Sitters, LLC is not qualified nor insured in this area.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa and Mastercard

Are sitters paid different rates dependant on the age of the child?

No, all children from 0-16 are cared for at the same rate

Do you cover in emergencies if my child is unable to go to school or daycare?

We may be able to accommodate this request - a lot depends on the notice we receive, where you live and the availability of daytime sitters.

How much notice do you require for a booking?

In order for us to book your preferred babysitter the more notice we receive the better. Of course we will always try to get a babysitter for customers making last minute bookings.

Are you insured?

Yes, Shore Sitters, LLC has professional and general liability insurance, workers comp inurance. We are licensed and bonded as well.

How many children are you able to care for at one time?

Our largest event had 75 children and was held in a high school's gymnasium. Please call us for more details and we will do our best to accommodate your group.
